Winemaker's Notes: Sangiovese is an ancient Roman variety; the name is derived from the Latin "Sanguis Jovis" meaning "Blood of Jupiter. Both Sangiovese and Cabinet Sauvignon are harvested in September from 30-year-old vineyards. The selected grapes from the vineyard are then fermented in cement tanks, remaining on skins for two weeks. The wine is then aged in French barriques for 12 months before bottling.
Description:The wine is an intense ruby red with an exuberant nose. Hints of ripe red cherries and red currants, intertwined with sweet spices. The balanced tannins build delicately on the palate, leading into a soft and elegant finish with excellent persistence.
